The Struggle is Real

The battle to righteousness is real. The entrenched virtues and principles strife for existence as it is being pushed away to its rightful place; that being said, social- and earthly-acceptable standards are dominating us.

We are all trying to uphold our morals to a steady. We have, for sure, thought about changing and influencing others to go to the “right” path and come not astray. We try to embrace our fingers more to keep it cool and not to be swayed.

From the daily decisions to the whole pie of life, the struggle is evident. The dilemma facing us weakens the inner strength we have. Little by little, we conform to the contrary, then we feel guilty afterwards.

The cycle continues… Round and round, endless it goes.

Subsequently, we neglect the essential and pivotal reason why we breathe. Our lights flicker instead of shining brightly. We think that squaring with the world’s you-only-live-once (yolo) permission gives us the bragging rights to do whatever we want… setting aside the purity that is within us.

Yes, it is true that we only have one life to make but it is not “fully” ours to wreck. God gives us the gifts of choice and freedom that is why we have to put the two in justice, in parallel with one another, and in harmony.

Brawl this fight to immorality with Full Armor of God as written in Ephesians 6:13-17. He gave us everything we need in this battle — belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, sandals of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit. Wear them and be ready as every day is a lifelong engagement to beneficence.

Seize today, every single moment, to show the world that we are not another frayed rope nearly ending.
